The Role

The Sr. Financial Analyst will report to the VP of Finance and be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of regular finance and accounting tasks and supporting company goals.

This individual will interact with a large variety of internal and external stakeholders and will play a critical role in the future growth and success of the finance function and the company.

Role Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining financial reports to be used by both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Supporting the day-to-day accounting processes by managing invoices, bills, journal entries, and other payments
 
  • Managing the process for payroll by running the cycle, calculating commissions and benefits, issuing reimbursements, and other ad hoc changes. 
  • Optimizing and improving finance and accounting processes. 
  • Assisting in the grant-claiming process + supporting the application of future grants and subsidies

You’re the Missing Piece of the Puzzle

  • 3+ years experience in a similar accounting/finance role, preferably at a startup or Big 4
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
  • Working towards your CPA (nice, but not necessary)
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and Excel functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Wagepoint or a similar payroll system
  • Thrive in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments
  • Extremely organized and motivated self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize what matters most for the business
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
